NOMOS Framework

The NOMOS framework is licensed under the MIT License:

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy
of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal
in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights
to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell
copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is
furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all
copies or substantial portions of the Software.

What this means:

Playground and Web Tools

Our web-based services are provided under these Terms:

Permitted Uses:

• Create and test agents for personal or commercial use
• Export configurations for use with the open source framework
• Share projects in accordance with our community guidelines

Restrictions:

• No automated scraping or bulk data collection
• No attempt to reverse engineer our services
• No use for illegal or harmful purposes
• No circumvention of usage limits or security measures

Documentation License

Our documentation is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0:

Integration Responsibility

NOMOS integrates with third-party LLM providers. Your use of these services is subject to their terms:

• OpenAI Terms of Use
• Anthropic Terms of Service
• Google AI Terms of Service
• Mistral AI Terms of Service

Your Responsibilities:

• Comply with each provider’s terms and usage policies
• Manage your own API keys and billing
• Ensure appropriate content filtering and safety measures
• Respect rate limits and usage restrictions

Third-Party Data Handling

When you use LLM providers through NOMOS:

• Your data is sent directly to the provider you choose
• We do not intercept, store, or process this data
• You are responsible for data privacy and compliance
• Provider-specific privacy policies apply

Local Processing

When using local models (Ollama):

• No external data transmission occurs
• You maintain complete control over your data
• Standard open source software terms apply

​

APIs and Services

NOMOS may integrate with various external services:

• Database providers (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Development tools (GitHub, Docker, etc.)

Each integration is subject to the respective provider’s terms.

dowhile.dev Intellectual Property

We retain rights to:

• The NOMOS trademark and branding
• Our proprietary web services and playground
• Documentation and marketing materials
• Innovations and improvements we develop

Note: The open source framework remains under MIT license.

Your Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of:

• Agent configurations and prompts you create
• Custom tools and integrations you develop
• Applications and services you build with NOMOS
• Content and data you process through agents

MIT License Grant: By contributing to the open source project, you grant us rights to include your contributions under the MIT license.

Third-Party Rights

When using NOMOS:

• Respect copyrights, trademarks, and patents
• Don’t use NOMOS to infringe others’ IP rights
• Obtain proper licenses for content you process
• Follow fair use guidelines and attribution requirements

Open Source and Basic Services

Free Forever:

• NOMOS open source framework
• Basic documentation and community support
• Community Discord and GitHub access
• Basic playground features

Usage Limits:

• Rate limits on web services to prevent abuse
• Storage limits for free playground accounts
• Bandwidth limits for documentation and resources

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• LLM provider API costs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Cloud infrastructure costs (if you deploy to cloud)
• Third-party service fees (databases, monitoring, etc.)
• Domain and hosting costs for your applications

Potential Paid Features

We may introduce premium services in the future:

• Advanced playground features
• Enhanced support and SLA guarantees
• Enterprise deployment tools
• Custom integrations and development

Grandfathering: Current free users will retain access to existing free features.

Types of Damages Not Covered

We shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Data loss or corruption (backup your data!)
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Third-party actions or services
• AI-generated content issues

Maximum Liability

In jurisdictions where liability cannot be excluded:

• Total liability limited to $100 USD
• Applies to all claims and causes of action
• Limitation applies regardless of legal theory
• Some jurisdictions may not allow these limitations

Risk Management

You are responsible for:

• Testing NOMOS in non-production environments
• Implementing appropriate backup and recovery procedures
• Monitoring and validating AI-generated outputs
• Complying with applicable laws and regulations
• Maintaining security of your systems and data

These Terms are governed by the laws of:

International users agree to submit to this jurisdiction for disputes.

Preferred Resolution Process

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of class actions or collective proceedings, except where prohibited by law.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable:

• Only that provision is affected
• Remaining terms continue in full force
• Invalid provisions replaced with similar enforceable terms
• Overall agreement remains effective

• You may not assign these Terms without our consent
• We may assign our rights and obligations freely
• Terms bind successors and permitted assigns
• Assignment includes corporate mergers and acquisitions

• Failure to enforce provisions doesn’t waive future enforcement
• Waivers must be in writing to be effective
• No waiver of one breach waives future breaches
• Course of dealing doesn’t modify written terms
